MOBOMAR is a Seafood exporter company based in Mauritania and has offices in Spain, Morocco and the United States of America. MOBOMAR is specialized in production and export of high value and high quality deep frozen seafood.
We have high level government connection to acquire fishing licenses offered by the Mauritanian government inviting foreign investors to fill the financial gap between the actual natural resources available and its exploitation. Although we MOBOMAR do not have the required financial capital to acquire fishing vessels; we do, however, have the knowledge of the industry, the necessary local network, and all the licenses to assure the success of any partnership we realize with a potential partner.

* All administrative and government regulations.
* Therefore, MOBOMAR will take charge of the consignment.
* We'll provide an effective and complete service: preparation of calls, documentation, customs formalities, various formalities, supply to quay, sign on/sign off of crew, medical assistance, transfer of funds, assistance on board, advance to crew, spare parts convoying, repairs, etc.
We will be glad to negotiate any financial terms and/or financial compensation for whom ever bring vessels.
Mauritania Fishing Market Drivers and Trends
Mauritania, a predominantly desert nation, has some of the world’s richest fishing waters. Mauritania has, historically, been one of the largest producers of octopus in the world, shipping large quantities of the cephalopod to Spain, Italy, and Japan. The reserves of fish are estimated to be 1.5 million tons of fish per year among which only about 700,000 tons is harvested per year.
In 2018, only 15% of the total catch was unloaded in Mauritanian ports (Due to the lack of storage plants capacity), among which 8% was transformed in Mauritanian factories. In 2018, fishing accounted for about 18 percent of Mauritania’s gross domestic product and up to 50 percent of its export earnings. European and Asian (China, Japan, and Turkey) fishing companies mainly exploit the fishing sector. Europe and Japan relies heavily on octopus imports from Morocco and Mauritania.
Mauritania and Morocco has, historically, been two of the largest producers of Octopus, Cuttlefish, Lobster and Pelagic in the world, shipping large quantities of the Cephalopod and Pelagic to Spain, Italy, and Japan.
